Luminária nunca extinta da cena alternativa nova-iorquina, que às tantas tentou entrar um poucochinho no mainstream (quando gravou Mr. heartbreak)- enfim, tanto quanto ela consegue ser mainstream - Laurie Anderson publicou o ano passado o último dos seus raros trabalhos, "Homeland". Reflexão lúcida sobre uma América em crise, mas nunca panfletária, sempre vista do ponto de vista do humano e da história pessoal. É dele que retiro este delicioso "Only an Expert", comentário irónico sobre os "especialistas" que pululam e se assenhoreiam de todos os seus assuntos com a sua voz autoritária.No disco a performance é pontuada pela guitarra do marido Lou Reed.
